HARNESSES AND HEAD COLLARS
When choosing a leash walking tool to pair with your leash, I recommend a non-pulling harness, which are also known as front loading, front range, and Y shape harness.
The guideline with a harness is, if the leash hooks to the dog's back it will help them pull more, which is beneficial for safety when cycling, carting, resistance training, or when the dog is on a long leash.
A harness that hooks the leash to your dog's chest helps them pull less, as it changes the center of gravity so they no longer have the advantage.
NEVER attach a long leash to a dogs collar.
Your dog MUST be on a harness with the leash clipped on the back to avoid injury or worse.
